Orphan Care and development Project is a regular and continuous Program of KUWAIT SOCIETY FOR RELIEF. Bangladesh is an under developed Country. Most of the people are living below the poverty line. The average span of life of people in Bangladesh is very short. Moreover, a huge number of people, who are the only earning person of the family, die with various kind of diseases, several natural disasters and different kinds of accident. For these, a large number of children of these families become Orphans in every year. They are being deprived of all kinds of fundamental necessities like, food, cloths, shelter, Medicare, education etc. and become the burden for the society instead of being the asset. Most of these deprived children are being entangled with various types of crime and social disturbance.
Bangladesh Government has a large program to rehabilitate these type of children through it’s Social Welfare Directorate. But, due to financial limitations, the Government can provide the facilities for a few number of those orphan children. Many of them are lying beyond these facilities.
Considering these, KUWAIT SOCIETY FOR RELIEF has taken a Program named `Orphan Care and Development Program’ to assist the Government in this Sector. Under this Project, KSR is fostering 2000 Orphan boys and girls keeping most of them in 10 Orphanage Complexes and buildings built by KSR in several districts of Bangladesh and some individual Orphan living with their families giving them regular monthly financial assistance through their guardians. KSR provides them all kinds of facilities against their fundamental requirements like, food, residence, cloths, Medicare, education, physical and recreation program etc. in a good manner.
