EYE CAMP  PROJECT

In Bangladesh blindness is major public health problem. The recent study revels that the cataract is the predominant cause of blindness, particularly for the older age group. The country as a whole suffers more as the blind people can not contribute to the economic activities and they became burden to there families as well as to the country. Eye sights of these people may be regained by surgery / treatment. The human sufferings is of serious concern where there is a blind person in the family. Required surgical treatment is needed for the cure of the sight of the blind people but it is not affordable to the majority of the rural population.

KUWAIT SOCIETY FOR  RELIEF (KSR), Bangladesh Office with assistance of its foreign donor(s) has  been undertaking many projects to provide humanitarian support to the poor & distress people. Now KSR   extend its support to restore the eye sight of these poor, distressed people in Bangladesh. KSR in this respect has organized many Eye-Camps in different parts of the Country to screen cataract cases and to provide support for free surgery including medicine and spectacles to regain their eye sight so that they may  return to the main stream of life.
